Our vision

Hargeelle Dairy Farms aims to increase the consumption of  healthy  camel milk throughout the region as a source of nutrient high and healthy diet. Our underlying objective is to empower local women traders, who earn their livelihoods by selling camel milk on the streets, to use our affordable, pasteurized, hygienic processed and long shelf-life camel milk. Hargeelle has also a mutually beneficial relationship with our Camel herders who are the source of our production. We commit ourselves to a fair-trade principle  to ensure a sustainable long term relationship.

Facts of Camel Milk:

   Camel milk has been used for centuries as a medicinal drink in Somali, Middle Eastern, Asian, and other African cultures.

   Camel milk is the closest to a human mother’s milk.

    Most camel milk is drunk fresh.

    Camels can produce an adequate amount of milk in drought areas where other domestic animals have very low production.

    Camel milk products in the world are popular due to increasing demand and are typically available in pharmacies and supermarkets.
